Oregon High School Lacrosse
It looks like we have a few more years without OSAA official sanction of the Boys and Girls lacrosse championships. Today there are 45 "6A" schools and 25 have boys lacrosse and 22 have girls lacrosse. The girls are represented by the Oregon Girls Lacrosse Association. It is believed that in 2009, there will be an additional 8 new varsity level high school girls teams in Oregon. It is a start. I'd love to help pioneer the girls efforts to get an OSAA sanctioned championship prior to graduating in 2012.

It seems crazy that the fastest growing sport in the state at the high school level is not sanctioned by OSAA.
I believe that Jesuit has won the OSAA "athletic" champion award for the last 10 or 12 years for all sports. I can not image that they will not strive to compete in varsity lacrosse.
Sorry Jesuit, you could pull off the 6 for 6 in fall sports in State Championships. You lost both soccer titles (girls and boys). Let's see what you do with Football. Go Lake O
